This novel dived deeply into the horrors of the whaling industry, which still persists on the fringes of some cultures today, rather it than serving as a distant memory to our cruel and destructive  history.

I wanted the cover to be simple, yet bold. The solitary whale tail serves as a reminder of the whales dwindling numbers due to the fishing and whaling industry. "Echoes" plays with typesettings to mirror the sentiment of the title, creating empty space in our vast oceans. The wavy lines represent the whales' cries for help as sonars pulse into the depths of the oceans
